Deep in the woods, one spring day, two small eyes opened. And since they had opened, they have never stop wondering, what they see: mum‘s nose,, grass, a tree, a mouse, a squirrel, a jay, leaves, stones, water, ferrets, their own hooves, a hare, Falina, Karus’s antlers , road, bushes and also the most beautiful thing of all - meadow! Actually, there is one more thing. Something tall. Something is standing on two legs. Something strangely naked in the face. Something that radiates tremendous power. It’s He ...

Somewhere Else- Ljubljana Puppet Theatre, Slovenia

Summary:

The performance tells us about a little girl, who finds herself caught in the middle of the war. It is through her eyes that we observe her changing city, filled with horrors, violence and fear. But, hope too. Threatening planes are flying over the city, the streets are empty and there is no food left on the shelves in the store. The school is closed. And every now and then gunshots are heard nearby. Her environment gradually changes …And becomes intolerable. The little girl’s only wish is to go to another country, where it would be much nicer. She wants to go somewhere else, somewhere far away from the war atrocities. »I woke up this morning, washed my teeth as usually, ate my breakfast and went to school. Everything was pretty much as usual. And only yesterday I played with my friends in the backyard as well. Everything is different now. I am not allowed to go to the backyard any more. It is too dangerous. And when the thunder is heard, I must run to the basement with my mother. I don’t see my friends any more either. And the school is over. They just closed it.«

The Wizard of Colours - Maribor Puppet Theater, Slovenia

Summary:

The Wizard of Colours is a story about a grey city in which people like us live. They have pets, yards, flowers, just like us. And they also have a neighbour who is different from us all, because he is a wizard from head to toe! One day in his cellar, the Wizard mixes a little bit of this, and a little bit of that, a little bit of nothing with a little bit of everything and ... creates the first colour. Blue colour. Just like weather affects people, also colours affect people. But the Wizard did not know that, so he had to mix and mix colours for as long as the city became coloured as it should be. Colourful?

Summary:

Prefab is an original visual and sound project, set on a formic table, freely varying motifs of everyday life in a block of flats (prefabricated concrete houses) - a symbol of a fulfilled dream of modern living in the countries of the former Eastern Bloc. It is also pre-apocalyptic concrete idyll based on the stories of three nameless neighbours. This project talks about their fragile ordinariness by extraordinary means.

Fairy Tale of Lost Time- Mostar Puppet Theatre, Bosnia and Hercegovina

Time. What is time if not a substance invisible to the eye, but that can be heard in a heartbeat, seen behind the eyelids, and felt deep inside in every pore of human skin. It’s both nowhere and everywhere. But who listens to the heart beating nowadays, or who dares to take a peek behind the eyelids and who comes to think of skin pores at all?

The “Fairy Tale of Lost Time” is a story that essentially talks about the transience of time and preciousness of human life. It is an interesting, witty and above all poetic play about a boy called Petja Mihajlovič Zubov who was turned into an old man because of his distinctiveness, shyness and the ability to feel the world and the existence of time. The unfortunate event that happens only once in a trillion years turned Petja into an old man, as well as Stasja, a girl whom he liked and who enjoyed reading books and listening to Petja talking with time, i.e. to himself. In order to find her among a crowd of old ladies and bring back his youthful age, Petja set on a journey of getting to know himself through accepting his feelings.

On the wolf s trail- The Youth Theater Novi Sad

"Buck, a well-grown dog with thick hair, lived in a big house in the sun-kissed Santa Clara Valley. He had a happy life, and nothing was missing. Until.

Why is it so cold here? What is the white matter that falls from the sky on my snout? Where are they all rushing to? Which animal gives such a smell? Why are they wrapping my body with belts? And what is howling from far away?

The Silent boy ,,Theatre for Children Kragujevac"

In a big house, somewhere in the countryside, there lives a boy. His family has four members: beside the mother and the father, the boy has a five years old sister named Leyla. His father, the head of the family, is a hunter. In a closed wardrobe on the attic, safely hidden from the children, he keeps a hunting gun. Sometimes the boy is allowed to accompany his father, on his hunting trips. But he is not allowed to touch the gun. He’ll be able to shoot when he is old enough to get a hunting licence.

One day, when the boy and his little sister are alone at home, they discover that the attic doors were open. Although it is strictly forbidden, they go and explore it. Between spiders, bats and old newspapers they discover the forbidden goods: the key to the closed wardrobe, where the hunting gun is hidden.

The boys’ name is Vuk and this is his story.
